I’m an independent thinker and an information professional who is proficient at finding and analyzing many kinds of data. I’ve spent most of my adult life in the world of higher education, first as a student and a teacher of literature, writing, and American culture, and now as a development professional who uses research, strategy, and insights gleaned from data analytics and business intelligence to help fundraisers build and develop relationships to advance the cause of philanthropy.
Previously trained as a literary scholar, I’ve become a researcher who is adept at teasing out the relationships between words, facts, and ideas, as well as those among different objects in a data set. I’m able to see problems from different angles and have a strong sense of curiosity, drive, and persistence.
I blog about data analytics, prospect development, higher education, and other topics of interest.
